There are two types of public light buses : red and green minibuses. The green minibuses are operated on fixed routings and fares. The routings and fares of red minibus are not subject to regulation but there are restrictions on their operation. All 4,350 public light buses are air-conditioned and have 16 passenger seats. Large indicators showing destination and fare are displayed at the front of the vehicles.Since 1997, operators of new green minibus routes have been required to install call bells inside compartment so that passengers can indicate to the drivers that they wish to alight at the next stop.
